Day 6-Hari terakhir di Seoul, pagi ke Namdaemun utk last minute shopping, lunch di Loving Hut Sinchon. Loving Hut adalah vegetarian restaurant chain... Kat seluruh dunia ada restoren ni. Sebelum bertolak ke Incheon, tgk2 bag tak cukup pulak... Terpaksa cari bag tambahan kat area Myeongdong... ingat nak ker Namdaemun semula, tp takut x sempat la pulak nak check out, cancel la... hari ni pun kira dah extend half day late check out. Dari guesthouse naik teksi ke Seoul Station... Ingat nak naik AREX semula ke Incheol Airport, tp memandangkan bag pun dah beranak satu, maybe naik bas lagi senang kot...  Smpi di Incheon, mintak tolong customer service call Incheon Guesthouse... 10 minit, terus diorang datang jemput. Malam terakhir ni tido kat Incheon Guesthouse sebab malas nak rushing utk flight balik KL keesokkan harinya....

Day 7- Bangun pagi, siap2 dan van guesthouse hantar ke airport semula... Bermula perjalan balik...

Hari ni plan nak ke  Namiseom  or Nami Island pulak.

Malam tu makan haemultang or seafood stew... Mahal la jugak... Ada member lain pernah makan yg lagi murah... Kedai lain kot.

Lepas makan, jalan2 jap kat area Myeondong... tettiba boleh lak jumpa kentang pusing2 yg byk kat pasar malam kat Malaysia tu.. tetiba, aku konpius, siapa tiru siapa ni??

Winter Sonata - Feb 2011 Day 3 (Deoksugung, Itaewon & COEX

Sebelum keluar, aku mintak tolong Ray Kim- mamat jaga counter yg paling terror speaking London utk dia bookkan shuttle bus ke mana2 Ski Resort yg dekat dgn Seoul. Ada beberapa ski reasort yg agak dekat dgn Seoul, dekat2 pun dekat 2 jam gak la... Lepas tu teru naik subway ke City Hall Station utk melawat Deoksugung. Plan nak tgk changing guard  ceremony, tp dibatalkan pulak. Lepas round2 kat dlm Deoksugung, naik subway ke Itaewon. Plan nak ke masjid dulu... Tp disebabkan lapar, makan dulu.. Memang agak curam. Lepas solat, perjalanan diteruskan ke COEX aquarium... Arif suka sgt kat aquarium ni...plan nak melawat Kimchi Museum sebelum masuk aquarium tu, tp dah tutup la pulak... Balik smpi guesthouse, Ray Kim ckp dia dah book free shuttle ke Konjiam Resort.

"Located at the corner of Seoul's busiest downtown intersection, Deoksugung Palace is famous for its elegant stone-wall road. It is also the only palace that sits alongside a series of western style buildings that add to the uniqueness of the surrounding scenery. Deoksugung Palace originally belonged to Wolsandaegun (1454~1488), the older brother of King Seongjong (1469~1494) of the Joseon Dynasty. It became a proper palace when Gwanghaegun (1575~1641) ascended the throne and gave the palace the name Gyeongungung in 1611. Afterwards, the name was then changed back to its orginal title of Deoksugung" www.visitkorea.or.kr

"Itaewon typically refers to the street full of stores, restaurants, and stalls over 1.4 kilometers between Itaewon 1-dong and Hannam 2-dong in the east. Fashion shops specialize in various imported clothes, leather goods, fur goods, handbags, shoes, and antique furniture. Big and tall sizes unavailable in other areas are well-stocked, and experienced tailors offer customized clothes.

Another one of Itaewon’s many draws is its diverse food culture, which features cuisine from around world. Restaurants right behind Hamilton Hotel form a type of exhibition hall for international foods from Korea, New York, London, India, Thailand, China, Greece, Pakistan, Italy, France, Mexico, Australia, and more. Unique flavors, exotic interiors, and diverse nationalities help to make Itaewon befittingly ‘the global village in Seoul.’" -www.visitkorea.or.kr

Japanese Restaurant - Donburi
"COEX Mall is the largest underground shopping center in Asia. It is located in the basement of the Korea World Trade Center, located in Samseong-dong in the Gangnam-gu area of Seoul. The colossal shopping center stretches from Samseong station (subway line 2) in the south all the way to Bongeunsa temple in the north, and is considered to be the best shopping and entertainment complex in the area.

Along the main route, visitors will find the Lake food court with 16 restaurants (Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Western-style), the event court (where concerts and performances are staged), the Bandi & Luni’s bookstore (where you can find English books on Korean culture and history), and plenty of brand name stores. Visitors can find major international brands of leisure and sports clothing in a section of COEX mall that is operated by Hyundai Department Store.

There are also plenty of attractions for those visitors looking for a break from shopping. The Game Champ video arcade has 100 of the latest game devices, while the Megabox Cineplex has 16 theaters screening a wide selection of movies. Other popular attractions include the COEX Aquarium, with its water tunnel, and the Kimchi Museum, where visitors can learn everything they need to know about Korea’s favorite food, and even try some of it."

Day 1
Sebelum subuh dah bertolak... singgah kat Petronas KLIA utk solat subuh.. Sepupu aku hantar sampai KLIA... Kitorang naik Cathay Pacific... Kena transit kat Hong Kong. By the time sampai Incheon dah malam. Beli T-Money ... Masa nak tanya arah ke AREX kat mamat convenince store yg jual T-Money tu... punya la payah, sebab diorang tak berapa paham English... last2 aku tanya, Japanese paham tak? ada kawan dia dia kat situ paham Japanese sikit2, apa lagi aku bantai ckp jepun la dgn kawan dia tu... dpt la direction ker AREX... kalau carik sendiri pun maybe boleh jumpa.. tp lambat sikit la... To aku decide utk amik teksi, sebab dah malam, lagipun nak bwk luggage lagi.... Dlm teksi, biasa la mcm ayam ngan itik la sebab driver tu pun bukan pandai ckp English sgt pun....  To aku dah prepare dah print alamat guesthouse tu dlm Hangul (tulisan Korea) dgn google maps dan no phone sekali... Sampai area Myeongdong, driver teksi tu mcm blur pulak carik  jalan x jumpa... Sebab jalan don guesthouse tu one way dan sempit... Last2 smpi gak lepas dia call no guesthouse yg aku bagi.... Lepas check in, makan plan nak keluar jalan2 area Dongdaemun.. Sebab shopping complex kat Dongdanemun bukak smpi pkl 5 pagi... Dah smpi kat Myengdong, arif pulak buat perangai tak nak jalan, guling2 atas lantai subway tu... Maybe penat kot... Last2 decide balik guesthouse balik la mlm tu....

Day 2 -
Jalan2 kat sini. Insadong menarik gak utk window shopping. Sebelah malam menghala ke Dongdaemun pulak... Ada beli souveniour sikit kat Dongdaemun...

Namdaemun

"Namdaemun Market contains shopping mall complexes that sell a variety of goods on each floor, and alleys that are lined with street stalls selling everything from food products, to health products, glasses, luxury/discount cosmetics, traditional Korean souvenirs, and much, much more.

If you take subway line 4 to Hoehyeon station (Namdaemun Market) and come out of exit #5, you will see Namdaemun Market Gate #6, which leads to one of the market alleyways. Down this street, you will find a variety of shopping complexes starting with the Bondong Shopping Center, Daedo Shopping Center, and Jungang Shopping Center, followed by a cluster of smaller shops. Customers that shop wholesale can purchase goods at extremely low prices, but retail shopping is also available. Namdaemun Market is frequently visited by foreign tourists, and therefore many of the merchants can bargain in English or Japanese." -www.visitkorea.or.kr

"Insadong and the surrounding area were the residences of Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) officials, extended royal families, and theyangbanaristocratic class.
The antique art shops that were established here during the Japanese Colonial Period carried everyday items of the privileged class as these items became antiques in the face of modernity.

Since then, Insadong has been home to dozens of art galleries and antique shops. Insadong's narrow alleys branch out into all directions from one main street.
To explore the interesting places on these side alleys, it would be helpful to get a map of Insadong at one of three Tourism Information Centers that are located at the center and the two ends of the main street." -www.visitkorea.or.kr

"Dongdaemun has every fashion item imaginable: fabric, clothes, accessories, and wedding goods. The newest fashion trends, along with the newest fabrics, often make their debut in the market. It is home to the largest clothing suppliers in Korea, and aspiring designers also come to here to hone and test their skills. Cheap and diverse clothes attract not just fashion leaders but also the average consumer. It has become a place frequented by major Korean and international buyers as well."  - www.visitkorea.or.kr

Cheonggyecheon Stream

"Until it was restored in 2005, Cheonggyecheon Stream existed only as a neglected watercourse hidden by an overpass. Today, it has been transformed into a haven of natural beauty amidst the bustle of city life.

Narae Bridge, expressing a butterfly in flight, and Gwanggyo Bridge, symbolizing the harmony of the past and future, are just two of the more than twenty beautiful bridges that cross the stream. The ‘Rhythmic Wall Stream’, lined with fine marble, sculptures, and Korea’s 8th stone building, Palseokdam, adorn the Cheonggyecheon Stream.
Cheonggyecheon Stream passes close to Deoksugung Palace, Seoul Plaza, the Sejong Center, Insa-dong Street, Changdeokgung Palace, and Changgyeonggung Palace, allowing visitors to easily visit major tourist sites after a leisurely stroll along the stream."www.visitkorea.or.kr
